Last night Ted and I went to see the Vow. We both liked the movie, and it made me think about the different dates that I would want to re-do if one of us were to lose our memory.
- The first time that we saw each other. We had heard about each other for months from my brother and sister in law. But they never gave us each others numbers. I moved into the same ward as Ted and went to church with Spencer and Sandra. I saw him sitting in the back row and thought to myself, "MAN! I sure hope that is him!" He was sitting by himself, and looking fine! When we sat down (a few rows ahead of him) and asked Sandra where this mystery amazing guy is. She didn't want to tell me, but then Spencer told her to just tell me or I wouldn't stop bugging them. She told me, and YES! It was him!! I knew in that instant that he was amazing! I kept looking back at him- I thought I was doing it in a sly way- but Ted says otherwise. He said it was very obvious, but I couldn't help myself! He's the best looking guy ever! After sacrament meeting Ted was working in the Library. Sandra introduced me to his mom, but never introduced me to him. But ohh I was interested- that's for sure!
- I would re-live our first phone conversation. Ted was out of town for work, so we FINALLY talked on the phone. Our first conversation lasted about 2-3 hours. We kept talking about how Ted would find "Mrs. Right" and hey- it turned out to be me!
- Our first date- one of the best days of my life! We went to the Thai House for dinner, went bowling, and went to Cold Stone for ice cream. At bowling we bet on whoever lost the game, got to pay for ice cream. I lost, but he would not let me pay, even though I got my butt kicked! Afterwards, we went to my apartment to watch a movie. I knew from that moment that he was amazing! He was so different from anyone else I had ever dated! Yep- I knew that he was the one!
- Our first kiss :) Those butterflies in your tummy that make life go in slow motion. That is exactly how I felt that day. We were in my apartment, and he kissed me good night. Afterwards he texted me and said that he thought I was going to let him leave. But he really wanted to kiss me. I am SOOO glad he did! A kiss never felt so natural, loving, and tender. It was the best kiss I've ever had! Just to think- I get to kiss him for the rest of eternity :)
- Our first Real Salt Lake game together. Those of you that know my husband, know that he LOVES Real! Love I'm pretty sure is a huge understatement! Before I met Ted, I did not know pretty much anything about soccer. The first game I went to I was pretty much clueless! Ted and his sister was screaming- and I just sat there! But now I think I can keep up pretty good, and actually really like the sport!
- The first time I met Dylan. From day one I knew that I didn't want to meet Dylan until I knew that Ted and I were serious, and that we were comfortable as a couple. The day I met Dylan is a day I will never forget. That little boy melted my heart, and became one of my best friends the second I met him. We played soccer together in Ted's parents front yard. That day changed everything. Not only did I have the man of my dreams, but a little boy that completely changed everything. I became an instant mom, but I could not imagine having it any other way. I love Ted and Dylan more than anything in the whole world!
- The day we taught Dylan to ride his bike. It was SO fun! We had decided that he was 7 and that is beyond old enough to start riding his bike! (I mean come on I was like 5 when I learned to ride my bike) So we took him into the front yard and started riding. I held on to the back of the bike seat and Ted stood at the end of the driveway. Dylan fell a few times, but he learned really quick. He is an awesome bike rider! It was such a thrilling moment to teach Dylan something as a family! Being a parent is so awesome!
- The day that Ted proposed. That day was amazing! Ted sent me on a scavenger hunt with Dylan. Then I went to his parents house and saw a candle lit path heading to the back yard. There Ted was, at the top of the stairs, waiting for me. There was lights everywhere and a beautiful bouquet of roses on the table. We sat down and had a great meal! The best thing of all- Dylan was our waiter! He was seriously so adorable! After dinner, Dylan came out and asked me to be his mommy. Then Ted got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was absolutely beautiful and romantic!
- Our wedding day. Beyond the best day of my life so far! It was so beautiful and perfect! It was everything that I wanted, yet so much more! That day made my life complete. I married my absolute best friend and eternal companion! I love him more than I thought was possible!
- Our Honeymoon. We went to Snowbird for 7 days and it was the best week ever! We were able to just relax and enjoy spending time together. It was an amazing week!
I vow to always love you through the ups and downs, twists and turns, because I know that those adventures will only make us stronger. I promise to love you unconditionally, even when you keep me up at night because you snore so loud. I promise to love you every second of every day for the rest of eternity. You are my everything, my heart and soul. Thank you for choosing me!
I really want to see that movie! But thats besides the point- this post is so cute! I am so happy for you, you guys make a perfect little family:)
